“The Provo Community Congregational Church was instrumental in the formation of the Food & Care Coalition. The late Reverend Glen Halbe led discussions among church congregations and community advocates as homelessness became more prevalent in the Provo area in the mid 1980’s. These discussions eventually led to the formal birth of the Food & Care Coalition in the fall of 1988. Since our inception, over 250,000 members of the community have volunteered their time in serving over 2.6 million meals to those in need. Our agency is eternally indebted to your membership and the impact and influence they’ve had on our evolution and growth throughout the years.”
